The Tooth Fairy Is Coming ...Are You Ready?

I want to start my blog with personal story…

So, you know how kids believe in all things magical – Santa, the Easter bunny, and, of course, the tooth fairy? Well, let me tell you about my own tooth fairy adventures, or should I say misadventures!

Back in the day, my tooth fairy was on a permanent vacation. I grew up in this teeny-tiny house with my brother and sister, and our room doubled as our living space. Imagine fitting three beds in there – it was like furniture Tetris! My bed? Well, it was more like a contortionist challenge. I had to sleep with my legs folded – superhero style.

Now, my mom was a superhero too, working her magic as a maid to make ends meet. We didn't have much. I think I had, like, one or two dolls, while my big sister had the Rolls-Royce of Barbies. But sharing wasn't exactly on the agenda.

Then, one glorious day, my sister decided to gift me a doll. I was over the moon! Can you guess what I did first? Cut its hair! I have no clue why – maybe it was a secret hairstylist phase. Panicking that my sister would find out, I slapped a hat on the poor doll's head. Genius move, right?

Fast forward to today, and times have changed – big time! I'm now a proud mom of two awesome kiddos, a boy, and a girl. And let me tell you, I'm compensating for all my childhood doll-deprived years. Disney shop? Yeah, I practically bought out the entire store – Elsa shoes, princess dresses, the whole shebang. It was like a retail therapy extravaganza!

And don't even get me started on Playmobil. I transformed her room into a play wonderland – dresses, shoes, play kitchen, and a mini-store, because why not?

Deep down, I know it's also for my own soul—to give her the childhood experiences I didn't have. However, I am aware of the dangers of spoiling her, and I'm actively working on finding a balance.

And then there's the Tooth Fairy. Although my childhood experience with the Tooth Fairy was not the best, it taught me the value of cherishing the little moments of enchantment and magic that can make childhood so special. As I watch my children lose their baby teeth, I strive to create memorable experiences, complete with tooth fairy visits, to remind them of the wonder and joy that can be found in the simplest of childhood beliefs.

In sharing my story, I hope to emphasize the transformative power of parenthood and how it motivates us to provide the love and experiences we may have missed in our own childhoods. It's a reminder that, despite the challenges we face, we can create magic for our children, teaching them the importance of wonder, gratitude, and a touch of enchantment along the way.
